Detroit Grand Prix

Practice.... that is.

Took my two oldest out today to watch some practice on Belle Isle. Beautiful day for some free spectating. The boys were done after about 15-20 minutes, but they’re 5 and 4, so I can’t be too surprised.

All in all, worth the trip. We will have to try it again next year. I only wish my old man could’ve been with us too. He would’ve had a blast. Some days I really miss him. Today was one of those days.

Fathers, hug your kids, and take em racing if you can. It’s a good time.

Almost blew off work today for this but it was supposed to rain.

I miss my Dad too.

I had taken the day off already and was hopeful tbr weather would work out, and it was a beautiful day. It stormed by the time we got home, north of the city, but I think it stayed dry on Belle Isle. That was my first time heading out to the island, let alone the Grand Prix events. It was very nicely done.
